Dear Parents,

Our class will be swimming starting from Monday April 16 until Thursday, April 19. Here is a approximate schedule of our morning:

• 9:30 - begin loading onto the bus
• 10 to 11 - swim lessons
• 11:20 - leave pool
• 11:35 - arrive back to school

For each of the days, please send your child with a plastic bag containing their belongings: a swimsuit and towel. If you wish to send goggles or caps, please do so at your discretion as we will not be responsible for lost or misplaced items.

AND A TOWEL! :)

Please also discuss with your child, the expectations for the bus ride to and from the pool, as well as appropriate behaviour for the change rooms and during the lessons. We're so excited to swim!!!



OPEN ENTRY! :) 
Today we had a school student meeting which outlined open entry. Starting Monday, students will have the opportunity to come straight into the school when they are dropped off in the morning. This means, starting at 7:45, students can come into the building, get ready for the school day and engage in activities such as reading. By doing this we are hoping to relieve the traffic congestion at our hug-and-go, and allow for students to start their day in a more calm and relaxed manner. This also means that students will be ready for learning right at 8am instead of losing time transitioning from the lines outdoors and getting undressed from their snow gear. Parents do not have to walk their children to the door, as there will be a supervisor at the door, allowing students to enter. There will be no additional outdoor supervision in the mornings. Further information will be coming home through email from the office. Please let us know how it goes next week - We will be looking for feedback!
