Here are some pictures from this afternoon!
Thanks to all of the parents who participated in Pumpkinella!

Here are some halloween tips for tonight!

Have a Safe and Happy Halloween!

Yesterday we examined a collection of pictures from the Prairies. We looked at the pictures, made some observations and gathered our wonders. With your child, please share and discuss the pictures below.

Please ask your child:

What do you see?
What do you think?
What do you wonder?

What animals could live here?
What could people do here?
What could kids do here?

Message from School Council...

1. Please help us by spreading the word about this event with your family, friends and connections. The more the merrier!!!

Ken Taylor Christmas Market and Family Festival
Saturday, November 18
10am-3pm
Kenneth D Taylor School

2. Similar to last year, we are holding a raffle the day of the market. So far we have a few wonderful prizes compliments of local businesses, however, we are still looking for a larger item such as hockey tickets. If you know of anyone generous and able to help out in this way please have them contact market.kennethdtaylor@gmail.com right away.

Last year's market was a great success and we know this year will be even better!

Today we had the privilege of watching a presentation by the Earth Rangers. They discussed animals from the Boreal Forests and Prairies/Grasslands and some challenges they are currently faces. We are so lucky that they shared some animals with us. Please look below for some pictures and videos of what we saw!

After viewing the presentation we did a Sketch and Stretch. This is a comprehension strategy where students are given time to draw/sketch and write some of the things they remember or learned. Here are some examples.
